How old should baby be for their session?

4-14 days of age.

How far in advance should I book? And how do you book when we don’t know the exact date baby will be born ?

I suggest booking once you are in your second trimester. This allows me to ensure I have availability to accommodate your newborn session.

I schedule you by due date, then I ask that I get an email with in 48 hours after baby has been born to officially book to newborn session date.

 Do you provide all of the props?

Yes! I have a large variety of props, wraps, headbands, hats etc. I choose what to bring based on the size of baby, and color scheme you provide me with.

 Can we have some sibling and family photos also?

Yes! There is an additional charge to add on lifestyle type family photos, and I do these at the end of the newborn session.

How many photos are provided?

This is completely baby dependent. Some babies just don’t want to be away from Mom, or asleep. I would say on average you’re looking at 30-50 photos.

What do we need to have ready for your arrival?

An area of your house that has a large enough working space. I bring my own light source, so I can literally be any where with a workable space. Generally this means the living room or dining room, with furniture and area rugs removed, or even a basement. If you are unsure of which space I may want to use, you can either send me a couple pics and I’ll help you decide, or the day of I can help choose a space.

 How long will a session take ?

This is also completely baby dependent. Usually 2.5 hours but I’ve had sessions run 4.5 hours as well. Sometimes baby just needs those extra moments to feed and fall into that deep sleep.
